La Salle Handball Club is proud to announce Visit Malta as a sponsor of the Club's international trip to North Macedonia for the Struga International Handball Tournament, held in Struga between 21 and 26 August 2026.

This overseas trip was another big step for the Club, which travelled with a large group of nursery players and the men's senior team. It gave our youngest players the chance to test themselves against foreign teams, brought them closer to the seniors they look up to, and gave the men's team a strong start to their pre-season.

A week dedicated to handball

For six days, the whole group lived and breathed handball. Between matches, players trained together, met as teams to talk through their games, and cheered each other on from the stands, with the nursery players among the loudest supporters of the senior team.

Results and progress

On court, there was plenty to be proud of. The nursery teams picked up wins in both the U15 and U17 categories, and the men's senior team won two of their three matches. Coaches were delighted with the progress they saw across all age groups, with players growing in confidence from one game to the next.

Beyond the matches

The trip was about more than results. Several parents travelled with the group, and the time spent together brought players, staff, and families closer. The Club also made new friends among the other participating clubs, opening the door to future collaborations.

Thank you, Visit Malta

La Salle Handball Club thanks Visit Malta for their support in making this experience possible. Their contribution helped showcase Maltese sport abroad and played an important role in a trip that our players will remember for a long time. The teams return home in high spirits and ready for the new season.
